Digital Contact Tracing for COVID-19

In 2020, during the height of the COVID pandemic, Toi Āria was involved in the development of a COVID tracking app. In partnership with international researchers, Anna Brown, Toi Āria’s director, sets out an introduction aimed at policymakers on how digital contact tracing works, including a simplified model of its epidemiological foundations, and explores how to obtain enhanced uptake by achieving social licence for the use of the technology within the context of a public health emergency.
